Are pistols truely a must? I have an old mp7 that cronos around 250 fps, and I wanted to check and see if can I use that for an within 20 ft engagment weapon. (on semi auto of course)

Your MP7 will be fine. Just be sure to adhere to the enagement distance rules and the rules for resolving disputes, should any arise.

Hey I appreciate the responce, but I want to make sure and clarify so I'm not breaking the rules. After re reading my post it may have been a bit confusing, and I can read your responce either as approval or denail of my request.

Is it ok to use the mp7 in place of a pistol, even if it is an AEG? (or any other semi auto capable machine pistol, or pdw in case anyone else had the same idea.)

I ask because I have been able to use the mp7 as a pistol at other non lion claw games.(this is my frist with yall) Also it will be the difference between bringing the mp7, or going on the market for a pistol.

A pistol is not required, but is very much preferred. Primarily because of the potential to accidentally use full auto fire on something like an MP7. The point of reminding you to adhere to the dispute-resolution rules was to emphasize that by carrying the MP7 you put yourself at high risk to create a dispute, should you accidentally engage with it full-auto indoors.

If you have any doubts in your mind about how your MP7 will chrono or you ability to always engage with it semi-auto indoors, then I would suggest you find a pistol to reduce the risks you take on the field.

Yes. Naturally, it will need to be chrono'd and pass chrono.

All shotguns allowed, spring or gas, 6 mm or 8 mm. Must CHRONO with 1 BB loaded, even if it fires multiple BBs. Must chrono no more than 1.13J (equivalent to 315fps with .25g BB) whether gas or spring, 6 mm or 8 mm, may be used inside or outside.

This is basically the same procedure that I developed for use at Irene6 and was adopted and blessed by clinkman.
