Snipers

I was wondering if sniper were allowed. If so, are the restrictions the same as they were at OP. Bulldog?

Yes.

You'll get the ROE through your squad leader, but yes, expect same restrictions.

Those are both sniper rifles. Have you been approved through chain of command to fill one of the two sniper positions on your company?

Otherwise you would need to run that weapon at rifleman velocity and would be at a distinct disadvantage.

For HOTEL CO, those who wish to be part of the sniper/scout team will need to have the OK first from their squad leader. Final decisions will be made by the LT and other command.

The reason for this policy is to ensure not only the safety of the players being shot at by snipers, but also to ensure the safety of the sniper/scout team... This AO is gigantic. Friggin large. You can get lost.

The fact that you own a sniper rifle does not a sniper/scout make.

Even if and when a sniper/scout element is determined, those players will need to be able to operate as a rifleman as part of their squad so a regular AEG will be needed.

Well said Doc!!!! Guys, TRUST ME, you'll have a MUCH BETTER TIME supporting your unit as a rifleman.

Rules are ONE SNIPER/SCOUT team per platoon anyway, hence, all must pre APPLY and QUALIFY. Thank you.

Again, those who've been to OPNS can attest for the fact that this is a GIGANTIC AO and you're MUCH BETTER OFF supporting your unit.

Now, a RECON SQUAD would be a much safer concept.
