I'm getting the Dboys/AGM MK16(SCAR) from evike.com and it says tht it's 380-420fps and I don't no how to reduce the velocity and I got a velocity reducer but I just saw u can't can use those sooo plz help.
Re: S.O.S. Need advice for my gun!!!!
i never thought i would say this. but downgrade your internals. put a less intense spring or something with a worse airseal. i would start with the spring though. not the airseal. because when running midcaps. good compression is pretty important.
The only easy day was yesterday.

Re: S.O.S. Need advice for my gun!!!!
Just because it says it hit's that FPS doesn't mean it will dont sweat it till you get the gun and crono it and you should be fine anyways if it hits 420 with .2's it should crono in the limts for the op's. Rule of thumb is per .01 gram BB weight it takes 10fps off so if your gun hits 420 with .2s it should hit around 480and if run a few mags through it to break the spring in it should put u under 376 with .25s....and if your that worried just get a m100 spring and throw in there that will drop it

Re: S.O.S. Need advice for my gun!!!!
One more question this is my first year going to OPNL if my gun doesn't meet the fps restrictions is there a place where I can take my gun to have work done on it to meet the restrictions? Cause I know tht some places have shops and stuff where you can buy guns bbs gas ect. Plus you can have them fix ur gun if somthin were to happen while playin.
Re: S.O.S. Need advice for my gun!!!!
If I was you I would getteh gun and crono it and do a spring swap before the Event......As of people being there to do work i don't know, I know that at Irene there was a mobile shop that did work. Also Im sure you can find someone there to be able to lend you a hand. I would side with get the gun hitting what you want before preperation will save you the headache.

Re: S.O.S. Need advice for my gun!!!!
K I'll see what I can do since I don't hav a crono lol I think I'll just use a 7.6 v battery and try and get tht spring it's the m100 correct and thtll fit in a scar?
Re: S.O.S. Need advice for my gun!!!!
A lower Volt Batt does not have any effect on FPS, get a 110 spring and bring to the op Greg Brother's posted that there will be vendors on site Im sure they will do a quick swap for ya

Re: S.O.S. Need advice for my gun!!!!
Step one get it chronoed
If you dont own a chrono stop a local piantball field often they will have one.
that should give you base line where your at.
IF it comes in to high You can depending on where your at find a local repairsofter whom can help you get a lower spring.
If you cant then the vendor at NL should be able to down grade your spring for you on site but you will want to contact them to let them know it needs done as they will be very busy.

Jon i see your from PA so here are some airsoft forums that could help you more locally before the OP
http://www.c3airsoft.com/
http://556airsoft.com/ This one has phone numbers to ask local shops/feild where to go
http://pennsylvania-airsoft.com/
http://wpairsoft.com/content/
I am sure one of these places and direct you to a local field/shop to help crono and gun work

Re: S.O.S. Need advice for my gun!!!!
ok thanks
Re: S.O.S. Need advice for my gun!!!!
If you have not already gotten the gun, then have it downgraded by the retailer before if gets shipped out to you. You are taking the risk and assuming that you will beable to have someone on the day of the OP have the parts and do the work for you. If for some reason they do not and can not then you will be SOL. You may not be the only one trying to get your gun worked on that day.
