Friday Training?

Remember LC VII in Tehachapi when Sgt Miller did a jungle tactics training... that was one of the things I remember most. What's the possibility of having say Mad Max do some sort of combat/tactics training this year?

I would love to see that again too. It would make Friday more interesting!

That depends completely on MSG Mullen's schedule and willingness to do so. Depending on when his flight gets in, he may very well be too jet lagged to do anything but walk around and say hi to folks. Don't get your hopes up.

Sgt Miller's "situational awareness" teaching tour of the AO at Tehachapi goes down as one of the highlights to my son's experience at Lion Claws. I had to work as a volunteer that Friday, but told my son to go with this group led by Sgt Miller. Over an hour and a half later my son came back to camp literally wide-eyed from the session! He couldn't believe that something so seemingly basic as moving through a contested landscape could actually be taught in such detail! What an honor to have Sgt Miller offer his time and experience that day and it really, truly made a lasting impression upon my son and the rest of the group.

And, not to leave the other heros out, our Recon Platoon also had after action briefings throughout Saturday from Master Sgt Mullen, and COL McKnight that were very impressive!

You can certainly count on our attendance if Sgt Miller, Master Sgt Mullen, or any of our heros, have the time and desire to conduct a similar tour again!

Guys, it doesn't look like this is going to happen. MSGT Mullen's flight doesn't get in until Friday afternoon, and then he and John have to contend with Friday traffic getting to the AO.


ETA: Yeah, I can't even seem to keep my days straight.

Could this be something that is planned for LCXII? It would be a great way to get to know the VIPs.

Hey guys, worse, MSG Mullen's flight gets in closet to 1300 hours on Friday, the 25th. We hope to be on deck by 1500 hours. Will definitely take that into advisement for 2013
