General Registration OPB

October 31 - November 2, 2008

It is the ATTENDEE's responsibility to read all updates in the Operation Lion Claws forum.

Registration Fee: $160 for alumni of LC series events, $190 for non-alumni. $30 discount coupon available from Title Sponsors (each Sponsor is responsible for distribution of these coupons and it is at their prerogative).

A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required at time of registration. This policy is to reduce 'professional register-ers' who simply wanted to holdup a slot for no reason.

This deposit is NONREFUNDABLE, NONTRANSFERABLE (unless it's due to a major disaster and the OP had to be rescheduled), and NONFORWARDABLE. In short, until your deposit is in, your NAME IS NOT ON THE LIST. This is to avoid deadbeats holding up space for no reason.

No Foreign Nationals Allowed by federal law due to the sensitive nature of this military training facility. You may be asked for proof of citizenship by military security at Ft. Hood.

Balance payment due September 30, 2008.

Last day for D.O.R. (Drop On Request) is October 12, 2008. No refund after October 12, 2008!

Registration fee covers:

  • Commemorative shirt
  • Commemorative Patch
  • Raffle ticket
  • Simulate wargame via airsoft on Saturday (fullday) and Sunday (half a day) at HMF and EMF MOUT facilities
  • The right to camp at the TA 50 (Training Area 50) near USMC unit. A limited number of POVs (personally owned vehicles) will be allowed to park at TA 50 this year. All POV must have a base pass display in its front windshield or it will be towed by Range Control.
  • POVs are not allowed to roam the base for safety reasons; it's a live fire training zone and you maybe mistaken for a 'moving target' by tank crews.

Portions of the proceeds are dedicated to VIP commander(s) compensation, reimbursement for the training center on pyro used throughout the weekend, staffing, role-players, sanitary facilities, lighting, medical staff, props, fuel for vehicles used throughout the weekend, facility, film crew, air travel, accommodation of crew and VIPs, and promotional giveaway items and liability insurance coverage.

A percentage of the proceeds will also go to benefit the USMC 14th Marines (texas).

No private camcorders allowed (other than helmet cams) while at the AO. Simply no private taping allowed.

Only participants are allowed at the AO, enforced by game staff.

Leadership Role Request: OPB is a Mil-Sim with a military style command structure. By requesting to be a leader, i.e., Squad Leader, you hereby agree to take on responsibilities for a 8-10 trooper squad. As a Squad Leader, YOU , not the Safety Officers, but YOU , are responsible for the safety and conduct of those under your command. YOU will be responsible for Squad Chrono. YOU will be responsible to maintain DISCIPLINE, HONOR and UNITY in your squad. YOU must maintain unit communication with other squads and follow orders given by your commanding officers. There are no bad trooper, only bad leaders!

If you are still interested in undertaking this position, please kindly e-mail me a brief self intro. I sincerely appreciate your effort!

If you are alumni of our previous Ops we thank you for your support. We would also respectfully ask that you make the effort to guide those who are less experienced and share your expertise with them during the OP.
